Oxford Boys Basketball team defeated Flint Kearsley Dec. 13 by a score of 68-52.
The team was led by Ray Luvine, who scored 22 points and Jordan Jaden, who scored 21.
Michael Raisch also scored a solid score of 10 and Jeam Linares contributed with six points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots.
“Raisch was outstanding defensively, as well,” said Head Coach Steve Laidlaw.
The team started out slow, holding a 9-8 lead at the end of one quarter, but erupted for 28 points in the second quarter, staking a 37-15 lead at halftime.
The third quarter saw a big lead evaporate as Oxford turned the ball over a lot leading to many easy baskets for Kearsley. Jaden hit a big three-pointer and was fouled, converting the shot into a four-point play.
Oxford is now 3-0 for the season.
The team will compete against Royal Oak at the home court Dec. 22 at 7 p.m.
