Oxford Girls Varsity Basketball team lost to Royal Oak in a close 38-35 game last Friday.

Oxford was up by two points at the half, but fell short in the second half of the game.

Samantha Potter and Jessica Adams led Royal Oak with 10 points each.

June Donnellon also contributed for Royal Oak with nine points. Lauren Methner led Oxford with nine points and Monae Evans had eight points. Ashley Hershman and Maddy Morris also contributed for Oxford with seven points each.

The team is 2-6 overall.

Next up, the team will compete against West Bloomfield in a home game Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
