Doan, Carmean lead BHS girls harriers to second at invite

Kayla Doan and Kelsey Carmean helped make it a good weekend for the Brandon girls cross country team.
Doan and Carmean placed second and third, respectively, for the Blackhawks in the Brandon Invitational Sept. 26. Brandon tied with Harper Woods Regina for second place overall with 70 points apiece. Stoney Creek won the invite with 63 points.
Doan clocked in at 22:14.6, while Carmean finished at 22:15.3.
Jackie Back also placed in the top ten for Brandon, finishing 10th overall (23:48.3). Other Brandon competitors were Kelly Cracium (25th, 25:29.4), Sara Eldon (35th, 26:28.9), Amanda Allison (39th, 26:36.8) and Casey Nesterowich (45th, 27:08.2).
Brandon will compete at Lapeer West Oct. 8 in Flint Metro action.
