George James Brittain passed away on Feb. 21, 2017 at his home in Oxford following a three-year battle with cancer. He was 68.
George was the son of Thomas Myron and Ila Griffin and a graduate of Oxford High School.
He was also a member of Oxford Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by sisters Clarabel Cocheren, Mabel Lee, and Carrie Petty and brothers Carl, Bob, Richard and Tom.
A service was held Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Oxford Free Methodist Church.
