The Oxford Wildcats baseball team fell 7-1 to Rochester in the first game of the series at Rochester High April 17.
Anthony D’Alessandro lead the offense that night with two hits.
Jack Smalley, Zak Schwerin, Gage Warzecha, Ben Gingell, Justin Allen and Josh Allen each collected one hit.
On Saturday, April 15, the team competed in a doubleheader against Detroit Country Day School.
In the first game, the team was dealt its first loss of the season as it fell 15-5.
The offense was lead by Jack Smalley and Ben Nuss. Smalley went three for four with two RBIs and two runs scored, Nuss was two for three with one RBI and one base on balls. Evan Brunning battled on the mound collecting four strikeouts in his two innings of work.
The Wildcats dropped the second-half of the doubleheader by a score of 11-0
Brandon Barrows, Braun Mayette and Cameron Marshall provided the only hits for the Wildcats.
The team is 6-3 overall this season.
The Wildcats go up against Rochester on Wednesday, April 19, at 4:30 p.m. at Rochester High (180 S. Livernois Rd., Rochester Hills).
