Dorothy Mae Bertholdy, nee Rosebush, of Surprise, Arizona, formerly of Oakwood/Oxford, Michigan, passed away on June 1, 2017, at home. She was 73.
Dorothy was born on January 23, 1944 to Kenneth E. Rosebush and Ann I. Rosebush.
She spent her young life in Oakwood, Michigan, graduating from Oxford High School in 1961.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, John F. Bertholdy; three daughters, Victoria Evans (Thomas), Stacey Thomas Wester, Heather Bertholdy Nelson; grandchildren Ashley and Austin Wester, Griffin, Cameron and George Evans, and Nicholas and Elizabeth Nelson.
Also survived by two great-grandchildren, Wm. Cole and Willow Wester. She also leaves behind a sister, Krystal Rosebush Thompson and brother, Kenneth Rosebush, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She loved being a mom and in her early years she enjoyed helping to care for her baby brothers and sisters, known back then as the Rosebush Quads. She was a working mother and also had been a breeder of exotic short-hair kittens for many years, showing them around the state of Michigan and beyond. A memorial service will be held in Michigan on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oakwood Wedding Chapel, 2750 N. Baldwin Rd., Oxford, MI 48371.
