Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard visited the Oxford Meijer last week with his mobile command center for a meet-and-greet with area residents.
Folks munched doughnuts and sipped coffee as they chatted with Bouchard. He listened to their concerns, received their thanks for the job his agency is doing and even had a prayer said for him and his officers.
The sheriff’s office has provided law enforcement services to Oxford Township via a contract since 2000. It also dispatches all police, fire and emergency medical calls in both the township and village.
