NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Elk View Estates Special Assessment District
Notice is hereby given that the Charter Township of Oxford (“Township”) Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing at a Special Meeting of the Township Board on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Oxford Township Meeting Room located at 300 Dunlap Road, Oxford, MI 48371 on whether to confirm the special assessment roll identified as CD-17-1 which is on file in the office of the Township Clerk with regard to the proposed Elk View Estates Special Assessment District. At this Public Hearing specifically regarding the assessment roll and the assessments against each parcel in the special assessment district, the Township Board will review and hear any objections to the assessment roll. A person objecting to the assessment roll shall file the objection in writing with the Township Clerk before the close of the Public Hearing. If the special assessment roll is confirmed, all assessments on that assessment roll shall be final and conclusive unless an action contesting an assessment is filed in a court of competent jurisdiction within 30 days after the date of confirmation of the assessment roll.
The Township Board of Trustees intends to make the improvements in accordance with Act 188 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1954, as amended, and pursuant to the terms of the Consent/ Default Judgment in Oakland County Circuit Court Case No. 2012-130875-CH. Preliminary plans and estimates of the costs to acquire storm water drainage area(s), and to engineer, repair, replace and/or correct the Stormwater Management Facilities and drainage, road, and other issues necessary to allow both Elk View and Bull Run roads in the Elk View Estates development in the Charter Township of Oxford to be conveyed to the Road Commission for Oakland County, are on file with the Township Clerk for public examination. Periodic redeterminations of costs may be necessary without a change in the special assessment district and without further notice to record owners or parties in interest in the property.

Proposed Elkview Special Assessment District
The Charter Township of Oxford will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting/hearing. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services shall contact the Charter Township of Oxford, by writing or calling Curtis W. Wright, Township Clerk at 248-628-9787 as soon as possible to allow the Township sufficient time to have available the aids and services.
