The blue division Lady Wildcat swimmers beat the white division Stoney Creek Cougars in a cross-over dual meet held October 3.
The official final score was Oxford 95–91.
The results were as follows:
In the 200 Medley Relay, Oxford’s A Relay of sophomore Ashlee Weltyk, freshman Grace Charnstrom, Rachel Commons, and freshman Jenna Fistler took second with a time of 1:59.79. Oxford’s B Relay of junior Claire Alexander, Victoria McClenaghan, Emily Vican, and freshman Peyton Bailey finished third.
In the 200 Freestyle, Weltyk came in first with a time of 2:03.56. Sabrina Kurk and Cailin Griffith took third and fourth respectively.
In the 200 Individual Medley, Fistler finished second with a time of 2:24.04. Grace Charnstrom came in third with a time which put her eighth on the All-Time Top Ten List.
In the 50 Freestyle, Alexander touched second with a time of 27.11, which moves her up to eighth on the All-Time Top Ten List. Seniors Victoria McClenaghan and Commons took third and fourth respectively.
In the diving portion, junior Keira Veltigian claimed first place with a score of 220.75. Sage Brocco earned third place points for Oxford.
In the 100 Butterfly, Fistler took second with a time of 1:04.81. Commons and Nellie Charnstrom finished third and fifth respectively.
In the 100 Freestyle, Bailey came in second with a time of 1:00.99. Freshman Addie Bishop claimed fifth place points for Oxford.
In the 500 Freestyle, junior Cailin Griffith finished third with a time of 6:05.56. Kurk and Vican rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 200 Freestyle Relay, Oxford’s A Relay of Weltyk, McClenaghan, Commons, and Fistler touched first with a time of 1:47.64. Oxford’s B Relay of Mackenzie Finley, Charnstrom, Laura Mace, and Veltigian came in third place.
In the 100 Backstroke, Weltyk took second with a time of 1:02.10. Alexander and Bailey finished in third and fourth respectively.
In the 100 Breaststroke, Grace Charnstrom came in second with a time of 1:16.68. McClenaghan and Nellie Charnstrom claimed third and fourth place respectively.
In the 400 Freestyle Relay, Oxford’s A Relay of Kurk, Bailey, Alexander, and Charnstrom took second with a time of 4:14.02. Oxford’s B Relay of Vican, Griffith, Bishop, and Veltigian finished third.
Oxford is now 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the league.
The Lady Cats will compete against Berkley in the home pool on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m.
