Oxford Township will honor the late Sue Bellairs and Dale Birch with a special ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m.

The public is welcome to attend this event at the township hall (300 Dunlap Rd.).

Two stones bearing their names will be placed as a memorial. The parks and recreation department donated an oak tree in Birch’s memory and landscaped the flagpole area in honor of Bellairs. Members of the North Oakland County Young Marines will raise a new flag.

Bellairs spent 16 years as a trustee on the township board. She passed away on March 18. Birch, who passed away on Dec. 30, 2016, was the township’s electrical inspector for a number of years.

Cider and doughnuts will be served following the ceremony.
