Oct. 22: A 35-year-old Metamora man called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies to the 3000 block of Bayliss Dr. at 6:23 p.m. to request the presence of a peace officer as he went to check whether his ex-wife, a 37-year-old Oxford woman, had been drinking and to check on their shared children, who are 3 and 8. The man told deputies that his 8-year-old son had allegedly called stating that he was worried about his mother and said she wasn’t feeling well and that she had been drinking. Upon arrival to the listed address, the man asked deputies to stay on the street and said it “might not be necessary to have police. While the man was inside the home, deputies noted in the report that they heard the woman yelling at him. When the man left the home, deputies attempted to explain to the woman why they were there. The woman allegedly became very upset and was noticeably intoxicated. When deputies asked if she had been drinking, the woman allegedly said “Yes, a lot.” After several unsuccessful attempts to communicate with the woman, deputies noted that no further attempts were made to contact her that night due to her level of intoxication.
Oct. 21: Three young adults were observed by Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies who were patrolling to be running away from a 2004 Buick Regal car into a wooded area located in the 500 block of E. Oakwood Rd. at 12:37 a.m. It was noted in the report that when deputies approached an odor of marijuana was emitting from the parked vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and found two bags located in the back seat. One bag allegedly contained a bag containing a substance which was suspected to be marijuana, narcotic paraphernalia, and a bag of loose coffee grounds. The second bag allegedly contained a laptop, a vaping cigarette and a wallet which contained the ID of a 17-year-old boy from Metamora, who was also the registered vehicle owner. The items were submitted for testing and the vehicle was impounded.
Oct. 20: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1000 block of Eugene Dr. at 1:02 p.m., where a 53-year-old woman from Oxford reported an alleged incident of family trouble. Upon arrival, deputies found the woman’s 24-year-old son standing in the driveway. The son was noted in the report to have been bleeding from his head and to have been holding a towel to it. The woman explained that her son had asked her for $10 for cigarettes and, when she refused, the man allegedly lost his temper and began head butting the garage entry door, broke a panel of glass and injured himself. The man was transported to Mclaren Oakland where his injuries were treated.
Oct. 18: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 200 block of Hunter’s Rill at 5:55 p.m., where a 44-year-old Oxford man reported that his 39-year-old girlfriend, who shares the residence takes his truck on occasion. While the man said his girlfriend usually returns the vehicle, the man reportedly told deputies that he was “fed up” with her taking his vehicle and that she had a warrant out for her arrest. Deputies later observed the truck to be parked in the driveway of the home. Deputies knocked on the door and made contact with the man, who stated that his girlfriend “wouldn’t be home until later.” With the man’s permission, deputies entered the home and performed a search. The woman was allegedly found exiting the bedroom of the home. She was found by deputies to have one active warrant for failure to appear for probation and was transported to the Oakland County Jail without incident.
