Cops seek tips about stolen golf course signs

Twenty-two signs marking pathways and holes were stolen from the Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford sometime between 7:30 p.m. March 27 and 7:30 a.m. March 28.

The signs, which were made of bronze and painted green,were removed from the front of various boulders found throughout the golf course, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s report.

They had a total value of approximately $14,000.

It was noted in the report that several of the boulders, which the signs had been affixed to, appeared to have been chipped.

The sheriff’s office is asking Oxford residents who live around the golf course to check their home video surveillance footage for any suspicious activity that could potentially be related to the theft.

Anyone who locates the stolen items, or has information about the theft, is asked to call the sheriff’s Oxford substation at (248) 969-3077.
