Oxford Township now has an HR person.

Last week, township officials voted 4-3 to enter into an agreement with Paychex, a company based in Rochester, New York, to provide human resource services.

The township will pay $798.79 per month, which covers 11 employees, plus a onetime implementation fee of $2,000.

Paychex will be responsible for updating the employee handbook, advising the township when it comes to handling HR issues and helping ensure the municipality is in compliance with federal and state laws.
