ORDINANCE 379-03.01

FIRE CODE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT

THE VILLAGE OF OXFORD ORDAINS:

The Village of Oxford hereby amends Chapter 34, Article II, Sections 34-31 & 34-32 of the Village’s Code of Ordinances to read as follows:

CHAPER 34 – ARTICLE II. – FIRE CODE

Sec. 34-31. – Adopted.

A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the office of the village clerk of Village of Oxford, being marked and designated as the most recent edition of the International Fire Code, including appendix chapters, with any published supplements or amendments as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the fire code of the Village of Oxford, in the State of Michigan regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said fire code on file in the office of the Village of Oxford are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this article, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in section 34-32 of this article.

Sec. 34-32. – Amendments.

The following sections [of the fire code] are hereby revised:

Section 101.1. Village of Oxford

Section 109.3. That the geographic limits referred to in certain sections of the most recently published edition of the International Fire Code with any published supplements or amendments are hereby established as follows: Village of Oxford.

Section 3404.2.9.6. Village of Oxford.

Section 3406.2.4.4: Village of Oxford

Section 3506.2: Village of Oxford

Section 3804.2: Village of Oxford
