Gordon Zagel, of Oxford. passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 27, 2018. He was 72.

Gordon was the dear brother of Gregory Zagel and Cheryl (William) Bradley; loving uncle of Christine Bradley, Jennifer (Scott) Evilsizer, William Bradley Jr. and Haley; and step-grandfather of Michael McCaan Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Marie Zagel; his little brother, Roger Zagel; his beloved companion of twenty plus years, Margaret McCaan; and his step-son, Michael McCaan Sr.

Gordon grew up in the Mount Clemens area and after graduating from Mount Clemens High School, he went on to attended Albion College where he played football.

He enjoyed all sports but was an avid fan of college football, hockey, golf and baseball.

Before retiring, Gordon worked for Plum Brook Golf Course in Sterling Heights.

He spent the winter months in Oxford, near his family, and spent summer months in the Gaylord area.
