SYNOPSIS
Of the Regular Meeting of the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees held on November 14, 2018 at the Oxford Township Hall Meeting Room.
PRESENT: Clerk Wright, Treasurer Ferrari, Trustee Curtis, Trustee Durr, Trustee Nichols
ABSENT: Supervisor Dunn, Trustee Payne
The following actions were taken:
Approved Treasurer Joseph Ferrari as the temporary Chairperson for tonight’s meeting in the absence of Supervisor Dunn.
Approved the Agenda as amended.
Approved the Consent Agenda as presented.
Opened the Public Hearing at 7:08 p.m. to discuss the establishment of the Squaw Lake/Clear Lake Special Assessment District.
Closed the Public Hearing at 7:13 p.m. to discuss the establishment of the Squaw Lake/Clear Lake Special Assessment District.
Opened the Public Hearing at 7:13 p.m. to discuss Fiscal Year 2019 Community Development Block Grant Funds.
Closed the Public Hearing at 7:14 p.m. to discuss Fiscal Year 2019 Community Development Block Grant Funds.
Approved to adopt Ordinance 44.001, Commercial Peddlers, Solicitors, and Transient Merchants.
Approved the Option 1 Guaranteed Minimum Interest Rate change to the Oxford Fire Department Nationwide Retirement Solutions I.R.S.
Approved the Employment Agreement between David Creech and the Charter Township of Oxford.
Approved the Memorandum of Agreement between the Township of Oxford and the Oxford Fire Fighters Union, IAFF Local 4763 as presented to modify the Wages of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Approved the hiring of Richard Dvorak to fill the vacant Firefighter/Paramedic position for the Oxford Fire Department.
Approved to promote Sarah Racer to Lieutenant EMS Coordinator from Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the Oxford Fire Department.
Approved Resolution #2 to establish the Squaw Lake/Clear Lake Special Assessment District as presented.
Authorized Treasurer Joseph Ferrari to sign a one (1) year subscription contract/invoice with Munetrix, LLC in the amount of $3,567.60 in order to meet the State of Michigan reporting requirements to secure EVIP funding.
Approved to allocate the 2019 CDBG funds as follows: $27,597.00 – For the mobile home minor home repair program and $11,826.00 – To provide Oxford Township residents with emergency food, utility, rent/mortgage, medical and educational assistance.
Approved that all employee payroll paychecks shall be paid through an electronic payroll payment system.
