SYNOPSIS

Of the Regular Meeting of the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees held on December 12, 2018 at the Oxford Township Hall Meeting Room.

PRESENT: Supervisor Dunn, Clerk Wright, Treasurer Ferrari, Trustee Curtis, Trustee Durr, Trustee Nichols, Trustee Payne

ABSENT:   None

The following actions were taken:

Approved the Agenda as presented.

Approved the Consent Agenda as presented.

Approved the hiring of Joshua Plyler to fill the vacant Firefighter/Paramedic position for the Oxford Fire Department effective December 17, 2018.

Approved to promote Justin Templeton to Shift Sergeant from Shift Fire Fighter for the Oxford Fire Department effective January 1, 2019.

Approved the purchase of a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe from Berger Chevrolet in the amount of $36,315.00.

Approved Resolution #3, Preparation of Proposed Squaw Lake/Clear Lake Special Assessment Roll and Scheduling of Public Hearing to implement an Aquatic Weed Control Special Assessment District.

Approved the Oxford Township Employee Handbook as amended.

Approved to give notice to PayChex HR Solutions that Oxford Township chooses to excerise its 30 day notification to terminate its contract as of January 12, 2019.

Approved to formally deed parcel number P-04-18-100-075 to the Road Commission for Oakland County for the purpose of making both Elk View Drive and Bull Run Road public roads.

Approved to re-appoint Michael Young and Thomas Berger to the Oxford Township Planning Commission.

Approved to appoint Meg Knauf to the Oxford Township Planning Commission.

Approved to re-appoint Todd Walters, James Butler and Korey Bailey to the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Approved to re-appoint Melvin Cryderman, Jan Drogosch and Karen Fitch to the Board of Review.

Approved the 2018 amended General Fund Budget (101) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at $3,259,188.00 with the addition to include moving $200,000.00 from Contingency to Contribution to Fire Fund.

Approved the 2018 amended Road Fund Budget (204) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at $371,166.00.

Approved the 2018 amended Police Contracting Fund Budget (205) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at $2,836,810.00.

Approved the 2018 amended Cemetery Maintenance Fund Budget (209) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at $9,628.00.

Approved the 2018 amended Telecommunication Fund Budget (239) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at $38,281.00.

Approved the 2018 amended Safety Path Fund Budget (297) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at $154,749.00.

Approved the 2018 amended Building Site Fund Budget (471) with Revenues and Expenditures balancing at

$358,969.00.

Approved the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office 2019-2021 Law Enforcement Services Agreement with the Charter Township of Oxford as presented.

Approved to authorize Attorney Rentrop to provide a draft Ordinance to prohibit Recreational Marijuana Establishments from locating in the Charter Township of Oxford to the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees for a first reading at the January 9, 2019 Regular Meeting.

Approved to accept the 2019 North Oakland County Household Hazardous Waste Interlocal Agreement as presented.

Approved to notify Oakland County that it will not charge a $10.00 participation fee per resident and the cost for the participation shall be paid by the Charter Township of Oxford.

Approved the North Oakland Household Hazardous Waste Consortium Resolution as presented.

Approved the pricing reduction for the Charter Township of Oxford John Hancock Pension Plan Service fees, and to approve the Wilshire Associates Inc. 3(21) Advisor Services Agreement.

Approved the Canvass of Votes for the November 6, 2018 General Election as presented.

Approved the adoption of the 2019 Township Board meeting schedule as amended.
