Allan Neef passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital, with his three children at his side. He was 90.
Allan was born Jan. 17, 1928 to Laura and Arthur Neef and lived most of his life in the Grosse Pointes.
He was active in the practice of law since earning his JD and MBA degrees from the University of Michigan in 1952, until shortly before he died.
Allan had extensive interests that included traveling the world his late wife Carol, playing bridge (in which he had obtained his Life Masters), listening to music, sports, and learning.
For the past two-and-a-half years, he resided at Independence Village in Oxford, where he enjoyed an active social life including dancing and scrabble with his dear friend, Lorette.
He is survived by his three children – Nancy Neef, Arthur “Beaver” and Wendy Neef, and Sherrie and Michael Vail, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
