Teacher Barbara Johnston’s fourth-grade class at Oxford Elementary School (OES) is collecting  contibutions for the K9 Stray Rescue League.

The public is being asked to donate money and supplies through Friday, March 1. A collection box will be located in the school lobby.

Suggested donations include canned dog food, collars, leashes, harnesses, treats, peanut butter, toys, Kongs, Nylabones, flea and tick shampoo, Lysol multi-surface cleaner (spray bottles and gallon jugs), latex gloves, paper towel, dish soap, Pine-Sol, bleach, garbage bags and newspapers.

Monetary donations can be made in the form of cash, checks and Meijer gift cards.

OES is located at 109 Pontiac St. in the village.
