Brian Grant Farrell was born on March 5, 1954 to Jack A. Farrell and Marjorie (Aiken) Farrell. Brian passed away surrounded by his family at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor due to complications after a valiant fight of Acute Myeloid Leukemia on March 8, 2019.
He was a lifelong resident of Oxford and a graduate of Oxford High School, class of 1972. He was a proud veteran who served four years in the United States Air Force.
Brian had worked at Barron Die Casting in Oxford, operated his own construction and remodeling business for many years, worked at Stoney Creek High School for a few years and served as a volunteer firefighter for many years.
Brian married Janis Fritch on July 6, 1977 and they were together for 41 ½ years. He is survived by his loving wife Janis, daughter Jenny Farrell Dudley, son-in-law David Dudley, son Grant Farrell, daughter-in-law Jeni (Woodworth) Farrell, and his six grandchildren: Hunter Dudley, Haley Dudley, Rebecca Farrell, Ethan Farrell, Emma Dudley and Alana Dudley.
He will also be greatly missed by his brother Jack E. Farrell, sister-in-law Irene (Brady) Farrell, brother Al Farrell, sister-in-law Sharon (Husted Roop) Farrell, sister Chris (Farrell) Hoard, brother-in-law Tom Hoard, sister-in-law Carrie Fritch, sister-in-law Frances Bivens, brother-in-law Everett Bivens, brother-in-law David Fritch, sister-in-law Wanda Fritch, brother-in-law Dan Fritch, sister-in-law Michele Fritch, brother-in-law Bill Fritch as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
He will be welcomed into heaven by his parents, sister Bonnie (Farrell-Nauseda) Murray and brother-in-law Dennis Fritch.
The family has suggested donations in Brian’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association.
