James grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and a small town in Arizona. After graduating from Arizona State University, he spent three years teaching English and writing for a nonprofit in a Japanese village, so he’s no stranger to small communities.
He is charmed by the village’s old fashioned main street and the township’s woodsy backroads and lakes. He joined The Leader at the beginning of December.
