This year, because of COVID-19, should or will Halloween be different?
On Facebook last week we asked readers to respond to this question: This year, because of COVID-19, should or will Halloween be different? Here’s how you responded:
Destiny J. No, Halloween should be left as is. We have succeeded with school being face-to-face for three weeks and we have football, gyms and other things opening. Let the kids that are allowed to participate be kids and if parents want to keep their kids home then let them choose to do so. These kids have gone most of the year without the things they enjoy the most.
Erica SD. It’s the perfect holiday: kids doing an outdoor activity wearing a mask.
Shannon F. Nope.
Candice CH. Nope leave it alone!!
Melissa P. I agree with Candice, leave it alone!!
Nicole B. No. It will be the same spooky trick or treating it has always been!

In the upcoming weeks, The Leader will report on what the local units of government, the villages of Leonard and Oxford and the townships of Addison and Oxford decided to do about Halloween this year. Stay tuned!
