The Wildcat cross country teams traveled to Clarkston last Friday for the pre-regional race at Clintonwood Park. Both the boys and girls teams finished in fourth place of the eight teams. Because of their finish, the Wildcats qualified for the Regional 5,000 meter race which is this Friday, again at Clarkston’s Clintonwood Park. In the boys’ race, Rochester Adams, Lake Orion and Clarkston teams finished ahead of Oxford. For the girls race, Clarkston won, followed by Rochester Adams and Birmingham Seaholm. Individually for Oxford, senior Zach Patterson finished 2nd with a time of 16:21.6; sophmore Xavier Clark finished 11th with a time of 16:53.7. The top runner for the girls were junior Natalie Schiller and freshman Braydee Elling. Schiller finished 15th with a time of 20:44.6. Elling finished 17th overall with a time of 20:50.7. Photo by W.
