Oxford resident Larry Richard Douglas Sr.died Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was 82.
Larry was born September 19, 1938 in Oxford, the son of Ronald and Vivian Douglas. He was a 1957 graduate of Oxford High School. He married Ruth Ann Douglas on May 3, 1975. He served 8 years in the United States Army and was a Lake Orion Police Officer for 13 years. He retired from BASF after 35 years.
He is survived by: his wife; 7 children, Ron (Karen) Douglas, Larry Douglas Jr., Rhonda (Mike) Hoover, Jeff (Heidi) Douglas, Mark (Estelle) Goulet, Jannine Walsh, and Aaron Douglas; 11 grandchildren, Richard (Christina), Holly (John), Stacey, Jenna, Angel, Brian, Taylor, Tyler, Logan (Blake), Victoria, Courtney; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Karen Robinson. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry Goulet; daugher-in-law, Tina; and brother, Gail.
Larry loved his pets, to hunt and fish, but most of all loved his family. He will be missed by many.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at Lakeville Cemetery, 825 E. Drahner Rd, Leonard on Thursday, February 11 at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be at a later date, most likely in the spring. Condolences may be left at LynchandSonsOxford.com
