The Oxford Village Police Department was called into action 640 times in the month of March. According to a report from Police Chief Mike Solwold, officers issued 365 citations or warnings and responded to six accidents.
From January through March the department was called 2,027 times; issuing 1,246 citations or warning and responded to 16 accident scenes.
Solwold’s report shows the department was called 524 times more this year, over the same time span in 2020. There were 304 less citations or warnings and eight less accidents this year compared to last year.
