John W. Wray, 52, of Oxford, Michigan passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 20, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with colon cancer.

John, a Michigan State University graduate, and long-time fan of the Spartans spent a long career in the communications industry within the automotive industry.
John was predeceased by his father, Robert Wray. He is survived by his wife, Laurie (Mudd), children Cameron (12), Allie (9), and Cooper (6), mother, Nancy, his brother, Steven and wife, Jennifer, mother- and father-in-law, Mark and Nancy Mudd, brother- and sister-in-law, Gary and Cheryl Mudd, and his nephews Blake & Ethan Wray, and Eli & Owen Mudd and countless friends and family who have shown tremendous support.
A memorial visitation is at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford on Wednesday, August 4, from 1-8 p.m. A funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion on Thursday, August 5, at 11 a.m. with gathering at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. Memorials in John’s memory may be made to the family to go towards future educational and college funds for his children.
