The following Ordinance 2021-1 known as the Franchise Renewal Ordinance and as summarized below was adopted. The Township Board adopted:
TO AMEND THE CODE OF ORDINANCES Appendix B, Franchises Article II Consumers Energy Company Gas Franchise Ordinance. 21-1
AN ORDINANCE, granting to CONSUMERS ENERGY COMPANY, its successors and assigns, the right and authority to lay, maintain and commercially operate gas lines and facilities including but not limited to mains, pipes, services and on, under, along, and across public places including but not limited to highways, streets, alleys, bridges, and waterways, and to conduct a local gas business in the TOWNSHIP OF ADDISON, OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN, for a period of thirty years.

SECTION 4. Extensions
SECTION 5. Franchise not Exclusive
SECTION 6. Rates and Conditions

SECTION 10. Effective date October 2, 2021
Penalty to the Code of Ordinances is under the adopting Ordinance 129-06.

The Addison Township Board; its elected members are Supervisor Pearson, Clerk Bennett, Treasurer Fisher, Trustee Brakefield, Trustee Gierak, Trustee Geibel, and Trustee Newby held a regular meeting at the Township Office on August 16, 2021. The Township Offices are located at 1440 Rochester Rd., Leonard MI 48367. The following action was taken:
Approved agenda.
Approved the Consent Agenda consisting of the July 19, 2021 minutes, bills as paid for July 2021, Addison Township Federal Procurement Conflict of Interest Policy.
Public Hearing, approved the Resolution and adopted the Consumers Energy Company Gas Franchise Ordinance 21-1.
Hearing and upheld the Determination of Dangerous Building for 1849 Rochester Road.
Authorized to move forward with Columbarium project at Lakeville Cemetery.
Appointed Trustee Newby to SEMCOG and No-Haz and Treasurer Fisher to CISMA.
Tabled discussion of the American Rescue Plan uses.
