Come one, come all down to Upland Hill Farms this month for the 61st annual Harvest Festival.
Held every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Harvest Festival opens up the farm for all to see.
“We have farm shows where Farmer Nate talks about all of the animals and gives educational information about how they help us on the farm,” Kristi Brady, Upland Hills office manager, said. “We have hay rides that go out to our enchanted trail, kind of like a nature trail. It also stops at our pumpkin patch.”
Attendees are able to get up close with the farm animals in various ways. Kids can try their hand at milking a cow or riding a pony, while watching ducks roam the farm with their bills for bites to eat.
Magician Baffling Bill puts on shows every hour, and the classic dining options are expanded with a rotating cast of food trucks.
Since the Harvest Fest takes place mostly outdoors, attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and be prepared for messy terrain. Masks are encouraged for indoor settings like the magic shows and barns.
Tickets can be bought for $10 at the door or online at https://upland-hills-farm.ticketleap.com/harvest-festival/. Groups of 10 or more are $9 per person, and kids 24 months or younger get in for free. More information about Upland Hills Farm can be found at https://www.uplandhillsfarm.com/.
