Melisa Counelis and family cut two ribbons signaling the grand opening of her Farm Bureau Insurance agency on Thursday, Oct. 14.
Located at 14 S. Washington St. in the Village of Oxford, the Counelis Agency provides a number of insurance products.
“We do anything from life insurance to your home, your auto, your business protection,” Counelis said. “Pretty much anything to protect your family.”
While Counelis does not cover health insurance, she said “we have a great referral source for health if you want us to send you one; they’re also in Oxford.”
The Counelis Agency is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday and can meet outside of regular business hours on an appointment basis. More information about the agency can be found online at InsuranceMomMI.com or by phone at (248) 929-5896.
Three chambers of commerce — Oxford, Metamora and Orion Area — helped facilitate the ribbon cutting with Oxford and Orion providing the ribbons.
Several notable attendees included Oxford Township Supervisor Jack Curtis, Oxford Village Manager Joe Madore and Village Police Chief Micheal Solwold.
