Volunteers for Addison Township’s
park system were honored on June 18
with a Saturday afternoon picnic.
“We had over 35 guests to recognize
for their dedication and volunteer
work as park Rangers overseeing
our network of Parks and Natural
Resources,” said Rod Blaszyk of the
township’s park and recreation department.
“These residents take great pride
in their caring of over 325 acres of our
Watershed Preserves, the Rangers are
very dedicated and we are fortunate
to have caring people like this in our
communities that share with us all a
sense of belonging. When you have the
opportunity to participate thru group
events as we do – like, trail maintenance,
project development, and
other activities we find a sense of accomplishment
that is quite rewarding
while giving back to the community.”
