There was more on display at the Northeast Oakland Historical Museum this past Saturday than the thousands of historical artifacts from the region. Members of the Northeast Oakland Historical Society celebrated the museum’s 50th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of the building at the northwest corner of Washington and Burdick Streets. Board members were on hand to share history, stories, snacks and beverages. The museum is open on Thursdays and Saturdays, from 1 to 4 p.m. and has displays from Addison, Orion and Oxford townships, and the villages they surround.
