NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE No. 418
CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE No. 419
An amendment to Article VI Offenses Against Public Morals and Article X, Chapter 46, Parks and Recreation.
Please take notice that the Village of Oxford Council will hold public hearings and second readings on
Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter in the Village Council Chambers located at 22 W. Burdick St.,
Oxford, MI. Public Hearings are being held for the purpose of considering an amendment to Article VI: Offenses
Against Public Morals, Sec. 42-133(b): Open containers of alcoholic liquor, by adding “except in duly authorized
social district commons areas” to the end of subsection (b); and Article X, Offense and Miscellaneous Provisions, Sec.
46-5: Possession of alcoholic beverages prohibited, by adding “except in duly authorized social district commons
areas.”

line at www.thevillageofoxford.org, or by contacting the office of the Village Clerk during regular business hours: Monday-
Thursday 8:00a.m.-5:00 p.m. Phone: 248-628-2543. Physically challenged persons needing assistance or aid at the public
hearing should contact the Village Clerk during regular business hours not less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the public
hearing. Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed amendment may do so in person, at the public hearing or in writing by
