The Oxford Downtown Development Authority and Idaho muralist Nick Hottmann are continuing to make an impression. Last week Hottman, a 2001 Oxford High School graduate added the finishing touches on his third mural in downtown Oxford. The mural, on the south side of GravCap Brewery in the village’s northeast quadrant, is part of a larger project, DDA Executive Director Kelly Westbrook said. Starting in May, the social district area in front the mural will receive new cement flat-work, an archway and lights will be added, seating, games for children and a removable fire pit. When completed, Hottmann’s mural will have a hot air balloon, with the words “Oxford Michigan” on it. There will also be a flag with the statement, “You Belong Here.” Photo by R. Greene
