Board Meeting Synopsis

The Addison Township Board; its elected members are Supervisor Pearson, Clerk Bennett, Treasurer Fisher, Trustee Brakefield, Trustee Frost, Trustee Geibel, and Trustee Gierak held a regular meeting at the Township Office on May 15, 2023. The following action was taken:

Approved the agenda as amended #10 Resolution Authorizing Township of Addison to opt in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. 11. Approval of the Fire Department new position. 12. Budget Amendment

Consent Agenda Approval: April 10, 2023 minutes, April 2023 bills, Resolution adopting/affirming the 2023/24 Health Care Benefits, Renewal of Workers Compensation Insurance with MML, Resolution modifying the PTO calculation and floating holiday, Resolution Adopting the Poverty Exemption Income Guidelines, Asset Test and Poverty/Hardship Exempt Application, Resolution Authorizing the Interlocal Agreement for Oakland County and to approve the designated assessor, Resolution of support for the Addison Township New Library Construction and $600 for porta john at the Strawberry Festival.

Held a public hearing and approved a Resolution for Special Assessment District for Markwood/Court

Entered a closed session under 15.268h to discuss attorney client opinion letter relating to Oakland County Circuit Court consent judgment in case 91-423067-ch. Wright Development Inc V Addison Township.

Open session: The Board approved a detailed motion.

Site Plan Review. Copper Hills Clubhouse and Cart Storage Facility (above).

Resolution authorizing the 2023 Millage Rates.

Resolution authorizing the fee Schedule for Development, Zoning Board of Appeals, Zoning Compliance Applications, Special Meetings and Cost Recovery.

Waived purchasing ordinance. Amended and approved Snow Plow Services Agreement.

Approved Resolution and authorization to the State of Michigan Spark Grant for the purpose of a Recreational and Multi – Generational Park for Addison Township Park.

Announced Planner Services, Rand Bowman, Resignation. Authorized for RFP-Board interviews.

Resolution Authorizing Township of Addison to opt in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

Approved the Fire Department Designation of a new position.

Approved a Budget amendment.
