Our beloved mother, Alice Gertrude (Schmidt) Marshall passed away peacefully in Ringgold, Georgia, on April 11, 2023, at the age of 93.

With kindness and generosity, she created a warm and loving home for all who entered. She was a blessing in the lives of all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Alice was born and raised in the small German farming community of Hadley, just north and west of Oxford. She moved to Oxford, when she was in her teens. It was there she met and married the love of her life and raised her children. She and her husband established a home in Tennessee in 1998 where she was happy to welcome family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Marlin Marshall; children Kathleen Marshall, Paul Marshall, Susan Rosser, Eric Marshall and Daniel Marshall and 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister, Emogene Clements.

The funeral was at Christ Lutheran Church, Goodrich, on April 17, with interment at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, in Hadley.
