Last week members of the Oxford AmVets Post 108 manned intersections all around town for their annual clover sales. According to veteran and post member Jim Parkhurst (pictured sell on W. Burdick St.) , Post 108 has sold clovers every September since 2001. The post uses funds raised to help veterans, their families and to give back to the community. “We’ve partnered with the Oxford Fire Department for their free smoke detector program, given to Oxford-Orion FISH, the Congregational Church and to award scholarships,” Parkhurst said.
