Armed robbery in village

Ortonville- Police are seeking assistance from the public in their investigation of an armed robbery that occurred about two weeks ago at a local gas station.
According to reports, at about 9:17 p.m. on Aug. 5, a man who appeared to be alone entered the Citgo gas station, 495 S. Ortonville Road, while no other customers were present. He slammed a black, long-barreled pistol on the counter and told the clerk, ‘Just give me the money.? The cashier removed the cash drawer and put it on the counter. The suspect took all of the money and quickly left. A K-9 track indicated the suspect fled south and got into a vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his early 20s, approximately 5?8? to 5?9,? 135-140 pounds, with blue eyes and light-colored eyelashes. He was wearing a loose-fitting camouflage face mask with one oval-shaped hole in the front at the eye area. The suspect was also wearing a black sweatshirt with a white-colored logo on the right back area, possibly a Harley-Davidson or ‘The North Face? logo. He also wore stone-washed blue jeans described as three sizes too big, a brown belt, black and red boxer shorts, light or white-colored cowboy boots and cotton white or light-colored fingerless gloves.
‘The investigation is ongoing,? said Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Brandon Substation Sgt. Mike Searing.
‘We are not familiar with any other similar incidents in the area.?
