Sweet Stuff!: Library lock-in offers sugar-fueled fun

There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned sugar rush to kick off the weekend. Local youth participated in a sweets-themed lock-in Friday evening at the Oxford Public Library. The kids had fun doing everything from decorating and eating cupcakes to sampling and rating different types of chocolate. Yum!

Little gentlemen wore ties and little ladies donned dresses on Valentine’s Day for the “Fancy Nancy” party in Daniel Axford Elementary teacher Jessica Bull’s first-grade classroom. The kids played bingo with candy hearts, made feather pens and ate parfaits.
