Ladies, get ready to grab your girlfriends for a night out on the town. Downtown Oxford’s Girlfriend’s Walk is hosting the next Girls Night Out on Wednesday, June 22 from 5-9 p.m.., starting in Centennial Park.
This event helps officially kick off the summer season while helping those in need in our community.
For the last seven years, twice a year The Girlfriend’s Walk has hosted a Girls Night Out event to support a local charity. This event’s charity is Career Dress of Oakland County , and the theme is “Bags, Baubles, and Threads.”
Each month Career Dress counsels 40 to 50 women in need who are looking to enter the workforce, helping them feel confident when they interview for a new job.
Representatives from Career Dress will be on-hand to receive donations of new or gently used career-appropriate apparel, handbags, and jewelry. The Girlfriend’s Walk and Girls Night Out is proud to be Career Dress’ biggest fundraiser event of the year.
Shoppers are invited to bring donations to Centennial Park where they will receive a VIP discount card to use at participating Girlfriend’s Walk businesses that evening.

“Girls Night Out gets bigger and better every year,” says Anna Taylor, owner of Oxford boutique Pink & Charlie. “We don’t just support women-owned businesses~ this event brings new customers to all of Oxford’s stores and restaurants. Downtown Oxford has so much to offer with new shops opening all the time. We’re thrilled to support our community through both commerce and charity.”
Shoppers can find fashion accessories, clothing, elegant desserts, casual and fine dining, massages and other spa services, handbags and jewelry, fun and educational toys and games, children’s clothing, embroidered gifts, and more.

The Girlfriend’s Walk was founded in 2010 and is a concept created by a group of Downtown Oxford women business owners who strive to support each other, their businesses, and their community.
Twice a year The Girlfriend’s Walk hosts Girls Night Out, drawing visitors to experience all that historic Oxford has to offer.
