Bare all, bear consequences

A 24-year-old Orion man who bared all will now bear the consequences.
Garrett Lee Roberts was arraigned July 21 on charges of resisting and obstructing a police officer, malicious destruction of property, indecent exposure, and breaking and entering in front of 52-2 District Court Magistrate Chiappelli. He was issued a $10,000 cash/surety bond.
According to Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reports, Brandon deputies were dispatched at about 9:27 p.m., July 20 to the area of 4400 Wildwood Loop for a report of a naked, intoxicated man running around and destroying a house. Upon arrival, a deputy spoke with a woman who said the naked man was her friend and is also friends with her neighbor. She didn’t know his exact location, only saying he had run eastbound on Wildwood Loop.
While searching the area, the deputy spoke with other area mobile home park residents who said the man ran down Ivy Court. At this time, dispatch advised the deputy residents of a home in the 4500 block of Ivy Court said a naked man had just run into their home. The deputy went to the home, where two small children were screaming and being comforted by their mother, who was also terrified and yelling, ‘He went into my daughter’s bedroom!? The woman’s husband and children’s father was standing between his family and the hallway the subject ran down. Upon arrival of a second deputy, the room where the suspect, later identified as Roberts, was seen entering, was checked. The suspect was no longer in the room, having jumped out the bedroom window, damaging both window and blinds, and escaping again.
While continuing the search, the deputies observed Roberts running soutbound across Wildwood Loop toward Oak Hill Road. He was then found naked, lying on his stomach up against a home in the 4500 block of Wildwood Loop. He was advised numerous times to put his hands behind his back, which he refused. Roberts finally complied, but as the deputy attempted to handcuff him, he began struggling. He was tasered by the deputies using ‘drive stun? twice before control was gained and two sets of handcuffs applied.
When asked if he was under the influence, Roberts said he drinks half a gallon of whiskey every day and he was very intoxicated.
During transport to Oakland County Jail, Roberts told the deputy he would not get him out of the patrol vehicle and he would fight. He was safely lodged at Oakland County Jail.
A preliminary exam is set for July 29.
