The concept of Addison Township potentially purchasing a piece of property on Lakeville Lake to create a public beach will once again be discussed by the board of trustees at its Monday, Dec. 17 meeting. It starts at 6 p.m.

The property in question is 70 Smiths Landing, a 1.65-acre parcel currently listed for $765,000. Located just west of Rochester Rd. and south of Annandale Rd., the property has 631 feet of lake frontage, including a sandy beach area.

Officials last discussed the issue at an  Oct. 24 special meeting, then voted to take “no action” after the Lakeville Lake property owners in attendance expressed opposition via a show-of-hands vote.
