It was like the ‘Sue Bossardet Farewell Tour’ at last week’s meetings of Oxford’s village council and township board. Both elected bodies recognized Bossardet for her years of service to the community, most notably the time she spent on the village council.
Bossardet served on council from 1994 to 2001 and again, from 2013-18. She was village president for a number of those years.
On Jan. 8, council presented her a plaque that read, “In appreciation of your many years of service to the Village of Oxford. Your devotion and commitment is testament to your love of our community.”
The following night, township officials voted 7-0 to pass a resolution honoring Bossardet for her “diligence and enthusiasm,” praising “the professional skills and effectiveness she demonstrated,” and recognizing the “incomparable contribution” she made to the village.
“We wish her much happiness in the future,” the resolution read.
