Continuing their undefeated streak at every level, the Wildcats proved this week that the Bloomfield Black Hawks were no competition.
On Jan. 17, the boys and girls travelled to take on the Black Hawks and dominated the play in both matches.
The boys blew away Bloomfield in a 22-8 match. Junior Justin Powell led the way with what Head Coach JR Lafnear called at “stellar” performance, bowling games of 278 and 234. His series of 512 is the highest in the OAA this season.
Other key bowlers for the boys were junior Luke Acton with a 247 game, sophomore Collin Massie with a 213 game and junior Zach Barrows with a 203 game.
As for the ladies, they decimated the Black Hawks 29-1. Senior Claire Sandstrom led the Lady Cats with a 245 game. She was followed by sophomore Grace Meyer with a 199 game, junior Megan Armbruster with a 185 game and sophomore Lily Boothe with a 182 game.
Aside from their scores, Sandstrom and Meyer also had 5-strike strings in the match.
Still undefeated, the boys are now 6-0 and the girls are now 4-0. Both teams will be back on the lanes on Jan. 25 when they travel to take on Harrison.
