On Dec. 18, the Wildcats bowling teams both had a strong showing against Troy.
The boys team walked away with a solid 22-8 score that day while the girls took a 27-3 victory.
On the girls side, the Lady Cats won both baker games and seven of the 10 matches to secure the win. The team was led by senior Marissa Smith 192,159 and junior Megan Armbruster 178,173. Deanna Staser also had a solid 181 game.
On the boy’s side, Oxford exploded in baker games, shooting an incredible 267 in the first game and following it up with a 244 in the second game. The Wildcats closed the match out in game one of head up play, winning 1039 to Troy’s 895.
The Cartner brothers paced the Wildcats that evening, with Tanner Cartner scoring a 236 and 199, and Christian Cartner scoring a 215 and 214.
Sophomore Zach Barrows started with the first six strikes in route to a fine 220 game and Luke Meyer tossed in a solid 205 game.
Both bowling teams also took wins against Birmingham Community Charter Dec. 14.
The teams each walked away with a solid 29-1 score that day and are currently sitting with a 3-0 record this season.
Up next, both teams will travel to Cherry Hill North to face the Wolves of Clarkston on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
