Boys basketball looks ‘to get better every day?

While the boys varsity basketball team is off to a 0-2 start after tough losses to St. Mary’s Preparatory (37-59) and Romeo (51-57), newly-appointed Head Coach Dave Brown said the goal of the season is ‘to get better every day, compete for a league title and make a run in the tournament.?
‘You can expect hard work and a lot effort this season,? Brown said.
To lead the team, Brown is looking to sophomore Tristen Mysen, junior’Jordan Jadan and seniors Joe Rapadas, Joradan Veach, and Marc McCallister.
‘They bring experience and senior leadership,? he added.
New to the varsity squad this year are sophomore Nolan Harding and juniors ‘Ray Luvine, Sean Nicholson, Jeam Linares, Justin Allen, Trayveion Huntsman, Collin Thompson and Chad Brown.
‘They bring energy and effort,? Brown noted.
As far as the league goes, Brown said, ‘It looks competitive with an opportunity for everyone.?
‘We are looking to be in the thick of it when the smoke clears,? he said.
That’s why they aren’t taking any game lightly this season.
‘They are all opportunities to get better prepared for the state tournament,? he added.
The boys will next hit the hardwood on Monday, Dec. 21when they travel to Imlay City to take on Richmond as part of the Imlay City Ford Holiday Showcase.
