Brandon detective recognized for excellence

Brandon Twp.- Detective Dale Brown, the patrol investigator assigned to the township police substation, has been cited for professional excellence by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Awards Council.
Brown, who investigated more than 100 cases in the township last year, was nominated by Sgt. Pete Burkett, Brandon substation commander.
‘He has done an exceptional job in his duties,? wrote Burkett in his nomination. ‘Deputy Brown does a great job in interviewing both suspected criminals as well as victims. He is a well-rounded investigator and is very knowledgeable in police work and investigations.?
Brown has been a full-time deputy for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years, and came to work in the township a year-and-a-half ago.
‘It’s always nice when your hard work and dedication gets recognized,? he said.
