Brandon Fire Dept. asks for address signs improvement
For five years the Brandon Fire Department has been selling and installing address signs to better identify home addresses.
The department is asking everyone who owns a department issued sign to maintain the areas around them.
Foliage, and trees growing in front and around the signs should be trimmed away from the post. Signs should be placed so that snow and other road hazards should not obstruct visibility of the sign from both directions.
Taking these maintenance measures will better allow the fire department to find a home more quickly in case of an emergency.
