Brian Cullen Hempstead of Fairhaven, formerly Oxford, passed away on Jan. 14, 2025 after a brief illness. He was 65 years old. Brian was the son of Jeanne and Gale Hempstead, who predeceased him. He is survived by his daughters Stacey (Chris) Geremesz of Algonac and Jamie (Dave) Zelenock of Charleston, South Carolina; his sisters Gale (Rob) Cantrell of Oxford, his twin Barbara of Oxford and Darsi (Todd) Bell of Ortonville; his grandchildren Paige Geremesz and Jacoby and Zander Zelenock. The family would like to give special thanks to Brian’s best friend Arlene Achatz and her sister Rachel Thompson for their loving care and compassion. Brian will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of music, especially Rock & Roll from the late sixties and early seventies. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in spring in Oakwood-Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
