Oxford’s boys varsity basketball team defeated archrival Lake Orion 66-54 Jan. 20, extending the team’s winning streak to nine in a row.
Oxford hit 11 three-pointers, four each by Ray Luvine and Nolan Harding. Jordan Jadan, Michael Raisch and Connor Nicholson each scored three-pointers.
Luvine and Harding each had 16 points total and Michael Raisch had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
“Connor Nicholson had a great game defensively and offensively. He chipped in with five points but also played stellar defense,” said Head Coach Steve Laidlaw.
Last Tuesday, the Wildcats defeated Rochester 62-49, paced by Jadan’s 24 points, Luvine’s 14 points and Raisch’s 13 points and 11 rebounds.
“Nolan Harding, Jimmy Claudio and Trayveion Huntsman did a fantastic job on Rochester’s leading scorer,” Laidlaw said.
The Cats are 9-0 overall and 2-0 in league play.
On Jan. 26, Oxford plays at Stoney Creek High (575 E. Tienken Rd.) at 7 p.m.
