On Nov. 16 the Women Marines Association packed 240 boxes to be shipped overseas for Christmas for our overseas troops. The boxes were packed at the Romeo Masonic Lodge in Romeo.

VFW Post 334 donated $1,000 in food items for this event. Daniel Axford and Oxford Elementary schools, Kingsbury Country Day School, and Oxford and Clarkston Middle schools made up over 500 Christmas cards for the troops which were included in the boxes.

The association says the cost of shipping is $18.50 per box and they are seeking support for their endeavor. Monetary support can be sent to: WMA Motor City MI-2, PO. Box 590, Romeo, MI 48065.
